How rebates work, and how you pay for your care.
Can I claim a Medicare rebate?
Medicare rebates may be available for eligible antenatal and postnatal midwifery services. Rebecca processes your Medicare claim for you after your appointment.
How do I pay?
You pay for your appointment on the day, usually by card. Rebecca does not ask for a deposit, and any Medicare rebate is claimed afterwards.
What does it cost?
Rebecca will talk you through the fee when you enquire, so you know what to expect before you book.

What areas do you cover?
Rebecca is based in South-West Sydney and travels across the Sydney metropolitan area. She visits families in Harrington Park, Oran Park, Spring Farm, Menangle, Tahmoor, Chipping Norton and Wattle Grove most often. There is no travel fee.
Where do appointments happen?
In your own home. Both antenatal sessions and postnatal visits are home visits, at a time that suits your family.

How a session runs and when to book one.
When should I book?
Rebecca suggests booking for around 30 weeks of pregnancy onward.
How long is a session, and is it a series?
A session runs for approximately 1.5 to 2 hours. It is one session rather than a weekly series.
Is it a group class?
No. Your session is private and one on one. Partners and support people are welcome, and if you and a friend or family member are both pregnant, Rebecca can combine your appointments.

Up to what age do postnatal visits occur?
Postnatal visits are available until your baby is 7 weeks old.
What does a postnatal visit involve?
A postnatal visit involves:
- Feeding support
- Baby weight
- Wound checks
- Baby checks
- General wellbeing support
How many visits will I need?
As many as you find helpful before your baby turns 7 weeks old. Visits are booked one at a time, with the next arranged at or after your current appointment.
