Antenatal Classes

A private one on one session in your home, from around 30 weeks.

1.5 to 2 hours, in your own home

Overview

Support from pregnancy to your baby's first weeks

Both are for individuals and families who are expecting a baby or have recently had one, and both happen in your own home.

Rebecca is based in South-West Sydney and travels across the Sydney metropolitan area, with no travel fee. She visits families in Harrington Park, Oran Park, Spring Farm, Menangle, Tahmoor, Chipping Norton and Wattle Grove most often.

What to expect

How this care fits with your other care

Rebecca's care works alongside the care you already have, rather than replacing it.

During pregnancy

An antenatal session is preparation and education. Your pregnancy appointments continue with your GP, midwife or obstetrician as usual.

After your baby arrives

Postnatal visits happen in your home, alongside any follow-up from the hospital or your child health nurse.

A familiar face

If you attend a class while you are pregnant, Rebecca is already someone you know by the time she visits you at home.

Rebecca does not provide labour and birth care. Your birth is looked after by your hospital or birth service.

Medicare and payment

How rebates work, and how you pay for your care.

Medicare

Medicare rebates

Medicare rebates may be available for eligible antenatal and postnatal midwifery services. Rebecca processes your Medicare claim for you after your appointment.

Paying for your care

You pay for your appointment on the day, usually by card. Rebecca does not ask for a deposit. Any Medicare rebate is claimed afterwards.

Fees are discussed when you enquire, so you know what to expect before you book.

Why Rebecca

Experienced midwifery care

Rebecca is an endorsed midwife. Endorsement means a midwife has met the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia's standard for endorsement for scheduled medicines, and it allows a midwife to apply for a Medicare provider number so eligible care can attract a Medicare rebate.
